Avril-Im looking forward to my wedding

Vivacious Kenyan songstress Avril Nyambura has said that she is looking forward to her wedding, but intimated that the dates have not yet been set.

Speaking to Citizen Digital, Avril states that she would make a traditional African wife, saying she loves being an African woman, catering to her man and taking care of her household.

“If you don’t do it, someone will,” she said.

Avril will be one of the artists who will be performing alongside the popular reggae group-Morgan Heritage in the Extravaganza concert.

The extravaganza concert, which will be held at the Nyayo National Stadium on October 3, is organized by Trueblaq and backed by Hot 96 and will showcase performances by Nameless, Elani and a wide array of Kenyan artistes.

Morgan Heritage is a reggae band formed by five children of reggae artist Denroy Morgan.

In two decades, they have had a number of successful reggae albums including ‘don’t haffi dread’.

Avril, who said that it was her second time to perform on the same stage with the famous reggae group, added that the first concert was her platform to showcase her first major performance with her first two songs.

She will be performing several songs including all the mash-ups she performed on coke studio.

If that does not make you look forward to her performance at the concert, then maybe the fact that she will be doing some acoustic versions of her songs will.

Avril will perform alongside her dancers and DJ.

This has been a good year for the vivacious artiste who he has been busy with projects in Tanzania, media tours and working on releasing new songs.

The new video has been produced by Tanzanian producer Hanz Kan, who has worked with Diamond and Vanessa Mdee

The’ nikimuona’ hit maker has said that she will be releasing the new video after the Tanzania elections.

Recently, in an interview with  Bongo 5, she came out about falling into a swimming pool alongside Prezzo while performing two years ago at Regency Park Hotel in Dar es Salaam.

She narrated the tale to Citizen Digital: “I was at the edge of the stage which was the beginning of the pool, singing my heart out feeling like Beyonce while closing my eyes. I hadn’t realised I had reached the end.”

However, she swam and was able to continue performing.
