10 cattle rustlers killed in Isiolo

Ten people suspected to be cattle rustlers are feared dead after a fire-exchange with security officers Saturday morning in Attan, Isiolo County.

Police reservists in the region claim that the bandits – who were more than a hundred – attacked the area at 6am with the intention of stealing livestock when the confrontation between them and the rebels ensued, resulting in the killing of ten bandits.

Director of CID in Isiolo County, David Cheruiyot, has confirmed the incident although the exact number of those who died is unknown.
