Body of boda boda operator recovered in cane farm

The body of a boda boda operator who went missing  three days  ago was on Thursday recovered in a sugarcane plantation along the border of Trans Mara (Narok County) and Awendo (Migori County).

The deceased, Stephen Oluoch – a boda boda operator who disappeared on Monday, is suspected to have been murdered and body dumped in the sugarcane plantation.

Some of his colleagues in the boda boda sector said he ferried some customers towards Trans Mara from Awendo on Monday never to come back.

East Sakwa location chief, Ambrose Otieno, said the body had deep panga cuts, an indication that he was butchered by unknown assailants who later disappeared with his motorcycle.

He said the body was recovered by boda boda operators who have been searching for the deceased since he went missing.

Meanwhile, boda boda operators from Awendo are worried over increased cases of murder along the Narok – Migori counties border urging the police to step up their patrol to avert such cases.
