Bungoma hospital closed for hours over delayed salaries

Bungoma Referral Hospital was shut down for hours after health workers took to the streets to protest the delayed of payment of salaries.

However, the demo came to an abrupt end after some of them received notifications from their banks that their salaries had been remitted to their accounts.

This led to the health workers resuming work; the hospital is now open and operational.
