CDF officials, private company directors to be arraigned over embezzlement of Ksh.55.8M in Nyahururu

The Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC) is set to arraign 10 NG-DCF officials and directors of private companies from Ol Kalou over the embezzlement of Ksh.55.8 million.

In a statement on Monday, EACC said that the 10 are suspected to have embezzled the funds that had been released to pay for road projects in Nyahururu constituency, which were never done. 

The 10 include John Kariuki Kimani, Simon Nduati Kariuki, Ludovick Ngera Gachara, Jerush Waithera Wambui and Samuel Ngugi Gachuki.

Others include Peter Mburu Mwangi, Charles Chuaga Ndung’u, Janerose Muthoni Wachira, Titus Kibui Kariuki and Dominic Mulwa Kasina.

EACC added that the suspects are set to face 16 counts of corruption and economic crimes.

They were apprehended on Friday, May 3.
