Eight students arrested allegedly engaging in sexual activities

In another shocking incident that will raise concerns about the conduct of students, police have arrested eight male and female secondary school students in a house in Lolwe Estate in Kisumu County where they were allegedly cohabiting and engaging in sexual activities as well as abusing drugs.

The five girls and three boys are said to have gone missing since schools closed following the teachers’ strike.

The five girls are students at Rangala Girls in Siaya County while the boys are from Ngere, Nyamasaria and Kisumu Boys Secondary Schools.

The eight were living in the same house during the month-long teachers’ strike and are alleged to have been engaging in sexual activities as well as abusing drugs.

They were literally nocturnal as during the day the eight would lock themselves in the house then go out clubbing at night.

Police officers, who declined to speak on camera, indicated the house belongs to the parents of one of the students arrested.

It is said the parents had traveled out of town and left the house under the custody of the minor.
