Kalonzo Musyoka will be Kenya’s next President – Muthama

A section of leaders from Ukambani have expressed optimism that Wiper leader Kalonzo Musyoka will be CORD’s flag-bearer come 2017.

Led by Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama, the leaders vowed to support Kalonzo adding that there was no time for him to join Jubilee.

Muthama, who was speaking during a funeral service in Kagundo, said that in 2007, Kalonzo and the then President Mwai Kibaki had entered a deal where the latter had promised to pass the leadership mantle to Kalonzo in 2013. However, he says, the deal was not respected.

The Senator further said that as Kenyans, the Kamba community will work and live in unity, intermarry and do business with any other community but vowed that they will not join any other coalition.

On the Afraha stadium ceremony held by President Uhuru Kenyatta and his Deputy William Ruto to celebrate the termination of their cases at ICC, Muthama said it was sad for prayers to be hosted by the President and his DP whereas nobody held prayers for people who were killed, displaced or lost loved ones during the post poll violence in 2007/08.
