Kenya Power electrician electrocuted

A middle-aged man working with Kenya Power was Wednesday evening electrocuted at Chemelet village, Bomet County.

Confirming the incident, Bomet county police commandant Leah Kithei said the man died on the spot when he was connecting a cable to a newly installed transformer.

It is alleged that he forgot to switch off the main power supply before doing the connection.

The body of the deceased has been taken to Kapkatet County Hospital mortuary.
