Landlords, tax agents laud KRA on rental income amnesty

Nakuru landlords and tax agents have lauded the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) for the ongoing regional sensitization on rental income amnesty.

Speaking Tuesday after a sensitization forum at a Nakuru hotel, the landlords said the forums have given them the opportunity to raise their concerns on a one-on-one basis.

Through their spokesperson James Mburi, a tax agent, they noted that they were able to access information on matters affecting them without going through long processes.

Mburi at the same time said that the availability of such information curbs chances of malicious characters of spreading inaccurate information to their advantage.

The landlords, however, urged KRA to conduct more sensitization forums in the region.

The amnesty given to landlords by the government through KRA ends on June 30th, 2016.
