Man who hacked girlfriend commits suicide

A Middle-aged man who allegedly hacked his girlfriend to death and hid her body for close to five days in his house at Koita Village in Bomet County has reportedly committed suicide by hanging.

According to Kiplabotwo Location Chief Stanley Towett, the body was found on Monday evening dangling from a tree in his compound.

Police moved the body to a morgue at Longisa County Hospital and are currently investigating the incident to ascertain the cause of death.

Two weeks ago, the deceased allegedly stabbed his girlfriend to death before fleeing and police launched a manhunt for him.

The two lovers were cohabiting before the incident.
