Nyanza fathers most keen on education study

Fathers in Nyanza pay closer attention to their children’s education than anywhere else in the country.

This is according to the School Report Card that was released by the National Taxpayers Association on Tuesday, which stated that mothers follow up on their children’s education more than fathers do in all parts of the country except for Nyanza.

The report indicates that boy child school dropout and truancy have increased compared to girls according to the research carried out between 2009 and 2015.

The School Report Card phase three was officially launched by the Ministry of Education, which was represented at the event by the acting education secretary, Leah Rotich.

The report addresses quality assurance of education in public primary schools.
