TNA says ready for dialogue with CORD over IEBC stand-off

The National Alliance (TNA) party has urged the opposition Coalition for Reforms and Democracy (CORD) to consider dialogue in resolving the stalemate between it and Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

This comes even as a section of Jubilee politicians sued CORD principals Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka and Moses Wetangula for leading demonstrations they claim have led to destruction of property.

“We cannot disband our institutions at the whim and wishes of individuals. We are ready today, tomorrow for proper dialogue – but through the legally constituted channels,” said TNA Secretary General Onyango Oloo.

The protests, which have been witnessed in different parts of the country, have led to a series of deaths and destruction of property with the protestors alleged to have looted shops and stoned motorists. TNA now claims it is also a victim.

“Our offices have been destroyed in Kibra today in this protest. We will write to the Registrar of Political Parties to complain about the attack,” added Oloo.
