VIDEO: Refugees repatriation

Leaders from North Eastern Kenya have urged the government to ensure that refugees from Somalia are sent back in an orderly and humane way when the Dadaab Refugee Camp is closed in the near future.

The leaders who spoke in Habaswein, Wajir County say they acknowledge the time has come for the camp to be closed but they lamented that thousands of Kenyans from north eastern Kenyan counties who illegally registered as refugees to benefit from free food rations and education at Dadaab will also end up being relocated to Somalia when the camp is closed.
