Bandari to leave for South Africa this week for pre-season training
Domestic cup winners Bandari FC will be leaving for South Africa in the course of this week for a week-long training camp ahead of the new season.
Speaking during Bandari FC awards at the Kenya Ports Authority headquarters in Mombasa, Bandari FC assistant chairman Benson Osero who represented the Managing Director Daniel Manduku said the plans are underway and the team will leave this week.
“I have kept my promise to take the team to South Africa for their pre-season camp ahead of their continental assignment,” the MD said in his speech read by Osero.
He added, “I am aware the travel arrangements are underway and the team shall be leaving later this week.”
At the awards gala, sensational winger Abdallah Hassan was named Bandari’s Player of the Season bagging the accolade for the second successive year.
Hassan has been in good form since last season and rightfully earned a call up to the national team Harambee Stars, and is part of the squad preparing for CHAN qualifiers.
Faruk Shikhalo who is in France with national team was also feted for a second year running bagging the Best Goalkeeper award while Brian Otieno emerged as Best Defender.
Newly acquired Collins Agade was the best midfielder as Yema Mwana won the top scorer accolade.
