Airborne Taxi? Uber partners with Corporate copter company

Online Taxi Company, Uber Kenya, has partnered with Corporate Helicopters, a Nairobi-based helicopter charter service, to give some of their riders the opportunity to fly from Nairobi to Mombasa in a special service dubbed Uber Chopper.

On Sunday, September 4, Uber Chopper will give consumers a chance to fly with celebrities from different towns after participating in a competition.

The company, which has since shaken the tradition taxi industry in Kenya, has set its eyes on introducing online chopper flight services in Kenya.

Uber Chopper has used the same strategy to launch in several cities from last year including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Melbourne, Bangkok, Hong Kong, Rio de Janeiro, Lisbon, Shanghai and Cape Town.

Uber has ventured into an online cab service in major towns amid competition challenges with the traditional taxi businesses.
