British Gov’t Pledges Support for ailing Tourism Sector

The British government has now affirmed that it is committed to help boost Kenya’s tourism sector.

This comes in the wake of travel advisories due to terrorism attacks fears.

Speaking after attending a consultative meeting with tourism stake holders in Maasai Mara in Narok County, British Ambassador to Kenya Dr Christian Turner said that the advisories had not been issued against Kenya alone but to other countries globally faced with the terrorism scourge.

Turner, however, reassured them that the British government has reviewed the travel advisories which had been issued and urged tourism stakeholders to work together.

Narok County Governor Samuel Tunai who had attended the meeting indicated that the Narok county government will protect  the resources in Maasai Mara and ensure that the wildlife there will benefit everyone.
