Chris Diaz takes up new role at Bidco after KQ exit

Former Kenya Airways Marketing Director Chris Diaz has taken up a new role at fast moving consumer goods manufacture Bidco Africa.

Mr Diaz, who announced his exit from KQ in February, has been appointed as the Group Sales and Marketing Director.

The appointment comes at a time Bidco is making strategic alignments to grow its market share both locally and in the region.

Bidco Africa chief executive officer Vimal Shah said the marking chief would be tasked with positioning the manufacturer’s new products in line with its expansion plans.

“Chris is a brilliant and experienced marketer with the capacity to bring the kind of strategic leadership we need to realize our growth ambitions especially as we venture into new categories,” Mr Shah said.

Prior to the appointment, Mr Diaz had also served on Bidco’s board as a non-executive director.

He will also be charged with leading the sales and marketing functions for the entire group including corporate communication, distribution and customer strategies across the consumer markets.

“I am delighted to join Bidco Africa at such an exciting time. I look forward to working with the team to deliver the company’s goals particularly the entry into new product lines,” Mr Diaz said.
