CRA Warns County Assemblies Over Spenditure

The commission on revenue allocation has raised the red flag over the push by some county assemblies to spend beyond their set budget limits. CRA chairman, Micah Cheserem has told members of county assemblies and county executives that there will be no additional funds to allocate towards additional recurrent expenditures incurred at the county level. And as Denis Otieno reports, a study conducted by the institute of certified public accountants of Kenya (ICPAK) has found out that most county governments are doing poorly on the revenue collection front.
