Delayed rains in Kenya to lower expected growth in 2019

Delayed rains in Kenya this year could shave off as much as 0.4 percentage points from the central bank’s growth forecast of 6.3 percent, the bank’s governor said on Tuesday.
“We can actually predict a lower growth rate by as much as 0.4 percentage points… depending on how bad the situation is,” Patrick Njoroge told a news conference.
