Ex-KMC boss Ibrahim Haji ordered to refund Ksh.11.5M to the firm for fraud, abuse of office

The High Court has directed former Kenya Meat Commission MD Ibrahim Haji Isaac to refund Ksh. 11.5 million to the firm.

This is after the court ruled that the funds withdrawn on April 30, 2012 was not accounted for.

“The plaintiff has proved its case on balance of probability and judgement and judgment is thus entered in favor of the plaintiff against the defendant for payment of Ksh. 11.5million with interest at court rates with effect from April 30, 2012 till full payment,” court papers read.

The court further noted that the former KMC boss dishonestly spent the money without proper accountability hence an act of fraud and breach of public duty.
