Forex Report: Kenyan Shilling Stabilizing against the Dollar

The Kenyan shilling is relatively stable against the US dollar, helped by foreign inflows into the stock market as well as news of the nomination of the next Central Bank Governor, Dr. Patrick Ngugi Njoroge.

According to the Central Bank of Kenya, the shilling is now indicatively trading at 96.77 buying, 96.96 selling to the dollar.

It has, however, lost ground slightly to the Euro to exchange at 108.34 buying, 108.58 selling while trading at 148.72 buying, 149.04 selling to the sterling pound.

On the regional front, the shilling is exchanging at 7.06 buying, 7.16 selling to the Rwandese Franc, 22.06 buying, 22.21 selling to the Tanzanian shilling and at 31.66 buying, 31.82 selling to the Ugandan shilling.
