Horticultural Sector Players Wary Over EU Tax Hikes

Players in Kenya’s horticultural sector have expressed fear that the sector risks losing at least 10 billion shillings every year through new taxes that will be imposed on produce entering the European Union market. The Kenya flower council has warned that the taxes may kick in at the start of October, owing to the failure by the East African Community to conclude its talks with the EU for a new trade pact.
