Im interested in cows, not KQ Naikuni

Former Kenya Airways Chief Executive Officer Titus Naikuni has distanced himself from the woes facing the national carrier and reiterated that he is not corrupt.

Speaking on Tuesday when he appeared before a Senate committee, Naikuni said that he had no interest in the companies that Kenya Airways outsourced services from, adding that his interest was only in cows.

The former CEO defended the decision to outsource cabin crew services saying that the cabin crew union’s demand for allowances informed the board’s decision to outsource the services.

Asked whether he bought any shares during his tenure as CEO, Naikuni answered to the negative and reiterated that what he bought was cows.

He further denied any knowledge of President Uhuru Kenyatta and/or Muhoho’s interest in the airline and joked that he was glad no one was saying he owns anything.

Naikuni appeared before the Senate committee to answer questions over the loss-making airline after Kenya Airways announced a Sh26 billion loss, the largest ever by a listed company.
