Isuzu MD Rita Kavashe named BAT Chair
Isuzu East Africa Managing Director Rita Kavashe has been named as the British American Tobacco (BAT) Kenya new board chairperson.
Ms Kavashe who has been serving as BAT’s non-executive director replaces George Maina who retired from the board on Monday.
Rita Kavashe holds a long-career in Kenya’s corporate sector having first joined Isuzu East Africa (formerly General Motors) in 1995.
Ms. Kavashe is the Chairperson of the Kenya Roads Board (KRB) and a non-executive Director at Bamburi Cement.
She holds additional roles as the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA) Vice-Chair and serves as a member of the Kenya Vision 2030 Delivery Board.
Kavashe holds a bachelor’s degree in Education from Moi University and a master’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Nairobi.
