Online taxi platform lowers charges to cushion Kenyans from expensive travel

A new ride hailing entrant in the East African region, Catch Taxi Kenya has offered to slash down travelling costs by 30%.

In the newly-launched holiday campaign dubbed Ride sawa, Kamata catch, riders will now enjoy comfort and safety within Nairobi and upcountry at affordable rates.

According to Catch taxi C.E.O Nafie Omar, the cushion is extended across all the company’s services including Lada, Easy and XL categories. The Former holds up to a maximum of four passengers, with the latter, ferrying seven passengers, though tailor made to meet comfort and luxury aspects.

“Additionally, drivers who enjoy high ratings and observe road safety protocols during the Christmas holiday season will be highly rewarded by the start-up,” said Nafie.

Catch Taxi Kenya, a platform that currently enjoys a base of 10,000 drivers, seeks to gain a fair share in the competitive online taxi-market in Kenya.

The initiative is expected to cushion many riders who have been forced to dig dipper into their pockets following hard economic times.
