Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene prices increase in January review

Motorists are set to pay slightly higher prices for fuel following the latest review of petroleum product prices by the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA).

The price of super petrol will increase by Ksh.0.70, Diesel by Ksh.0.54 while Kerosene will retail at Ksh.1.64 more per litre.

“The prices are inclusive of 8% Value Added Tax (VAT) in line with provisions of the Finance Act 2018,” said EPRA in a statement on Tuesday.

According to EPRA, the changes in this month’s prices are a consequence of the increase in the average landed cost of imported Super Petrol, Diesel and Kerosene.

The new prices will be in force from January 15 to February 14, 2020.
