Petrol prices up by Ksh3.07 in latest ERC review

The Energy Regulatory Commission has announced new fuel pump prices that will see the cost of Super Petrol go up by Ksh.3.07.

Diesel prices will also increase by Ksh.0.39 while Kerosene will now be sold at a lower price by Ksh.2.96 per litre.

“The changes in this month’s prices has been as a consequence of the average landed costs,” read the statement.

This latest review will be in force from June 14 until July 15, 2019.

The new fuel prices will affect the petroleum products sold in petrol stations across the country.

Last month, the surge in fuel prices was attributed mainly to a combination of increased landing costs for refined fuel as international crude prices remain on the rise.

The weakened shilling during the March/April import window was also a contributing factor.
