Shilling eases against the U.S. dollar

The Kenyan shilling has today eased further against the U.S. Dollar amid growing Dollar demand for Dollars by oil importers and manufacturers.

According to the Central Bank of Kenya, commercial banks are now selling one Dollar in exchange of 100.84 and buying it at an indicative rate of 100.64.

Against the Euro, the home unit is exchanging at 111.58 buying, 111.77 selling while trading at 154.73 buying, 154.96 selling to the Sterling Pound.

On the regional front, the shilling is trading at 7.31 buying, 7.39 selling to the Rwandese Franc, 22.11 buying, 22.25 selling to the Tanzanian shilling and at 34.40 buying, 34.57 selling to the Ugandan shilling.
