Shilling firms against the dollar

The Kenyan shilling has today firmed slightly against the U.S. Dollar amid increased demand for the U.S. currency by oil importers.

According to the Central Bank of Kenya, the shilling is exchanging at an indicative rate of 101.46 buying, 101.65 selling to the Dollar.

It is trading at 111.53 buying, 111.78 selling to the Euro while exchanging at 158.61 buying, 158.95 selling to the Sterling Pound.

Regionally, the home currency is exchanging at 7.25 buying, 7.34 selling to the Rwandese Franc, 19.92 buying, 20.05 selling to the Tanzanian shilling and at 32.61 buying, 32.76 selling to the Ugandan shilling.
