Shilling firms up against the dollar
The Kenya shilling is relatively stable against the U.S. Dollar, helped in part by subdued demand for dollars by corporate.
The Kenyan unit is currently exchanging at an indicative rate of 105.26 buying, 105.45 selling to the dollar, according to the Central Bank of Kenya.
The home unit is trading at 118.57 buying, 118.80 selling to the Euro, while exchanging at 162.41 buying, 162.76 selling to the Sterling Pound.
Closer home, the Kenyan shilling is exchanging at 6.89 buying, 6.97 selling to the Rwandese Franc, 20.48 buying, 20.61 selling to the Tanzanian shilling and at 34.68 buying, 34.84 selling to the Ugandan shilling.
