Smart Farm: Botanical Farm

Communities living in Narok County are largely known for rearing livestock as their main economic activity. But Kantilal Halai, a Kenyan born Indian, has opted to go against the grain to set up a botanical farm, not so far from the world famous Mara game reserve. Tonight on our weekly agribusiness segment "smart farm", Denis Otieno tells us how this enterprising farmer has managed to transform his semi-arid piece of land into a productive field.
