Smart Farm: Cassava Farming

Since time in memorial, the cassava has been viewed as a low value crop with some even calling it the poor man’s crop. But agricultural experts say the commercial potential of the cassava is far from being tapped. On this week’s agribusiness segment “smart farm”, our reporter Denis Otieno travels all the way to Masinga, Machakos County where he met a young cassava farmer who is just beginning to reap from this drought resistant crop.
