Telkom launches data centric post-pay service

Telkom is out for heavy mobile data consumers with the launch of a new data centered post pay service in a move aimed at diversifying the telco’s revenue and clientele base.

Dubbed as Telkom Move, the new proposition will offer a blended service offering with a pre-set amount of data, talk-time and text messaging services.

Telkom Chief Executive Officer Aldo Mareuse said the launch is in response to the market need for new experiences that add value to latter-day discerning customers.

“Telkom is here to enable Kenyans to discover, explore, experience, and engage with and on the internet, through reliable internet connectivity on fast speeds, and get value for money on Voice and SMS bundles, all under one bouquet”, Mr Aldo said.

Mr Mareuse further tipped Telkom Move as the best deal yet for post-paid users across the market divide.

“It offers the freedom and peace of mind to go about everyday business without fear of high fees in communicating”, he added.

Text messaging, voice and data have been vital in driving the mobile telephony sector with the latter being the key driver for the sector according to data from the Communication Authority of Kenya (CA).

The rolling out of 4G network coverage across the country is expected to further increase the demand and use of mobile broadband services going forward.
