Uproar as Airtel Kenya reports network outage
Airtel Kenya subscribers suffered a major network outage affecting call and messaging services for the better part of Wednesday.
The telecommunications services provider confirmed the network outage saying it was a technical hitch.
“We are currently having some technical challenges with our network. Due to this, calls and SMS messages will be intermittent. However, Data services are available. We are working to resolve this on priority and we shall keep you updated,” the company said in a statement on Wednesday.
The network hitch saw the network subscribers take to social media to lament over the inconvenience.
A recent report by the Communications Authority indicated that Airtel commands the second highest mobile share with around 11.5 Million subscribers.

Data services are not available. Are you going to compensate us for the period of interruption because my purchased data expires within 24hrs

The next time there are such challenges you people need to notify us through messages. @AIRTEL_KE you also need to speed up and provide a data manager.
