Westgate Shopping Mall to Reopen in July

The management of mall, which has remained closed for the last two years following a tragic terror attack in September 2013, announced that plans for its re-opening are now at an advanced stage.

Nakumatt Holdings, which was one of the mall’s biggest tenants, has also confirmed that it will commence its in-store renovations from next week.

Nakumatt Managing Director Atul Shah said the supermarket is on course to rebuild all its flagship store at the Westgate shopping mall to global standards.

Westgate Mall Director Alex Trachtenberg further confirmed that tenants taking up space at the mall will soon be moving in ahead of the reopening.

The terror attack on the Mall left at least 67 people dead and property worth millions of shillings destroyed.
