28-year-old singer dumps 68-year-old mzungu wife, elopes with another woman
Leone Island backup singer Ronald Ssemawere, better known by his stage name Guvnor Ace, has reportedly ended his relationship with his 68-year-old wife Mona-Lisa Larsson.
Mona-Lisa took to Facebook to break the news, saying her husband has instead eloped with yet another elderly Ugandan woman who resides in Norway.
She added that Guvnor simply married her so that he could travel to Europe.
“He has been in touch with a Ugandan woman here in Europe. They have been making arrangements to be together. Last week when I had gone shopping, I returned home and found that he had fled with her to Norway,” the heartbroken sexagenarian narrated.
“He didn’t leave me because I can’t conceive. He left because he is stupid. I have never seen someone so cheap in my life,” Mona-Lisa vented, adding that it was Guvnor Ace’s plan to marry her so that he could travel to Europe and be with his Ugandan woman.
“She (Ugandan woman) even accepted that I marry him because she wanted him to get to Europe. All the love he professed to me was only play.”
The Mukade star had traveled to Sweden in December to spend the end of year holidays with his wife.
Guvnor Ace came to the limelight in August, 2015 when he walked 68-year-old Mona-Lisa, down the aisle in a civil wedding in Kampala.
The singer, who has since deleted his social media accounts, is yet to respond to Ms Larsson’s claims.
Not married to Mona-Lisa for money
The dancehall artiste revealed two weeks after their wedding that he did not regret marrying Mona-Lisa. In a WBS TV interview, the 28-year-old said young girls are a ‘financial liability’, and that some are not genuine.
“I have no regrets, because these young girls will ask for airtime and on sending it, they will not even call you, all they do is to beep.”
Guvnor also revealed what exactly attracted his Swiss wife to him.
“I shared my Gutujja video in 2014 on my wall and this was Lisa’s comment, ‘I like the way he sings though I don’t know what he’s singing about’.”
“It was then that I sent her a Facebook request,” Guvnor added.
Rubbishing claims he got married to his wife for money, Ace said: “We’ve been chatting for close to eleven months, so I don’t get it when people say that I’m in it for money. They call her a pensioner but as far as I’m concerned, she is still working and earning.”
