A 38-year-old mother of two married a Jamaican toyboy almost half her age after she romanced and fell in love with him on Skype.

Angharad Lovering from South Wales, flew to the Caribbean for a three-week holiday to meet Loric Bullock, then 19, and says she knew it was ‘meant to be’ when she got pregnant by him.

Loric then proposed by text and despite having only met him once she accepted.

Ms Lovering then took out a Sh482, 000 (£3,000) loan to pay for his temporary British visa before marrying him in May 2014.

In October 2013 she gave birth to their baby boy, Tyrese.

The couple now lives together in Cardiff with their son, now one, and Angharad’s daughter, Daisy, from a previous relationship who is 15 years old.

The 38-year-old woman admits people often mistake Loric for her son or her daughter’s boyfriend.

Ms Lovering told Dailymail: “I don’t look as old as I am and I certainly don’t dress my age because I don’t want to look my age. I don’t have wrinkles so I’m lucky.”

Despite her efforts to look young, people still don’t see the two as a couple.

“But Loric has a baby face. A couple of people have said to my daughter, ‘Is that your boyfriend?’ and she has to say, ‘No, it’s my stepfather,’” she said.

The mother of two says she doesn’t care what her family thinks about her relationship.

Angharad and Loric first conversed when she took Daisy – whose father is also Jamaican – over to the country to meet her grandparents in 2012.

Ms Lovering however admits she did not expect anything would come out of their interaction, since to her the boy looked 12 in his picture.

When Angharad got back to the UK, she and Loric embarked on unconventional courtship over Skype, texts and voice messages.

Six months later, Ms Lovering went back to Jamaica, so that they could finally meet in real life.

“I was desperate to go and meet him,” she said, adding: “We spent almost three weeks and we just had a lot of fun!”

The fling took a serious turn when Lovering realized that she was expectant.

“When I got home and found out I was pregnant we saw it as a sign that we were meant to be,” she told.

The couple married two months later so that Loric could secure a United Kingdom visa.

Angharad said the transition has been difficult for her husband, who has battled racism and found it difficult to find a job, notwithstanding the age prejudice.

Ms Lovering disclosed: “I have never lived with a man before so it is really new for both of us. It’s been a tough time, but I’m finally getting to know the husband I met on Skype.”
