Baby-bumping! Ben and Gathoni Kiruthi share pregnancy photos

Top Kenyan wedding photographer Ben Kiruthi and his gorgeous wife Gathoni are expecting a baby!

The award winning duo made the announcement today on Gathoni’s blog through a series of photos showing their baby bump.

An elated Kiruthi posted: “In January this year, we found out that we were going to have a baby. We were hysteric, crazy, wild and balling over with wild excitement. Gathoni and I wanted to have a baby and we prayed about it…So when we found out that we were pregnant, we just held hands in silence, absolutely overcome with emotion.”

Though having a baby is an answered prayer for the duo, it has been a challenging journey.

“The first trimester was hard: the moods, emotions and morning sickness was really trying for us. God saw us through the first and second trimester and Gathoni is due any moment now,” said Kiruthi.

The Kiruthi’s, who tied the knot on February 14th 2014, shared images from their pregnancy shoot.

Last year, Kiruthi revealed how his relationship with Gathoni has made him the man that he is today. The engineer turned photographer narrated how Gathoni supported him when he left a promising and stable career to chase after his passion for photography.

Five years after he started off the photography business, the self-taught photographers have won awards both locally and abroad.
