Citizen TV’s Willis Raburu injures knee live on air, requests for prayers
Citizen Television news anchor and reporter Willis Raburu on Tuesday, January 12 dislocated his knee cap while working out on Power Breakfast’s Fitness Tuesday.
Consequently, the newscaster will be off air for an undisclosed period of time.
“Yesterday I dislocated my knee cap after the whole of my body weight rested on one leg, that was a new level of pain…If it wasn’t for my work mates and friends though I don’t think I would have made it through the day jana,” said Willis.
The news anchor has sought medical treatment, and he is currently undergoing physiotherapy.
“Now I’m on knee brace and crutches as I undergo some physiotherapy, I’ll be out of work for a while but will be back!” added Raburu.
The upbeat media personality has urged his fans to pray for him, saying: “Meanwhile keep me in your thoughts and prayers. Let’s keep talking online.”
He is scheduled to visit the doctor for a review on Wednesday, January 13.
Willis Raburu hosts Power Breakfast show alongside Kirigo Ng’arua and Mutegi Njau on Monday to Friday from 6 to 9 am.
