Crazy World: Kleptomaniac Kitty steals men’s underwear
Cats are known for their cuteness, but sometimes those adorable balls of fur can be full of mischief.
Recently, a cat from New Zealand has been making headlines globally for stealing men’s underwear.
In addition to knickers, the cat’s sticky paws have brought home 50 pairs of matching socks.
In just two weeks, the kleptomaniac kitty collected a total 61 articles of clothing, 11 pairs of underwear and 60 pairs of socks, thus forcing her owner, Sarah Nathan, to send apology notes to neighbours.
Speaking to the New Zealand Herald, Sarah said that her cat’s behavior was extremely bizarre..
“In our last house, she would bring home a bit of everything. She would bring home men’s underpants, women’s underpants; she even brought home a hockey shin pad and a jumper,” Sarah said.
The 6-year-old cat, however, acquired specific tastes in recent times.
“She was much less discerning; now she’s decided menswear is the thing, and it’s a very specific kind of underpants that she likes,” Nathan said.
Luckily, Ms Nathan is moving to the country soon with her much-loved ‘cat burglar’.
“Hopefully there’s something there she can find to catch but if not we may have to stash some undies around the farm to keep her stimulated,” she said.
