Drama! Kim Kardashain blasts Piers Morgan for offering to buy her clothes

Following backlash over a racy selfie she posted earlier in the week to celebrate International Women’s Day, controversial reality TV star Kim Kardashians West has blasted those who claim she is a bad role model for young women.

Though an essay on her personal website, the mother of two – who rose to fame following the release of a raunchy video – said that she doesn’t understand why people are overly concerned with her personal life choices.

“Hey, guys. I wanted to write a post elaborating on my tweets last night. In all seriousness, I never understand why people get so bothered by what other people choose to do with their lives.”

Kim, who is one of the stars of hit TV series Keeping Up with the Kardashians, was bashed heavily on social media with media personalities telling her that the image was inappropriate.

Former CNN TV Anchor Piers Morgan tweeted the 35-year-old beauty, offering to buy her clothes since her husband, Kanye West, has declared that he is in debt.

Morgan’s tweet was heavily re-tweeted and this attracted a salty response from Kim.

Instead of putting him off, Kim’s tweet served to further provoke the media guru – leading Morgan to pen a critical article on www.dailymail.co.uk.

In the no-holds-barred article, Morgan said that he thought it was “depressing” for a mum to post such an image – even though she is still a looker.

“I found it all a bit depressing. Kim’s 35 now, and the mother of two very young children. She still looks fantastic, and of course has every right to post as many pictures as she likes. It’s her body, her life,” read his article in part.

He went on to hint that she could have posted the controversial picture out of a “desperate attempt” to compete with her younger, now more popular, siblings.

“…it’s hard to escape the creeping suspicion that this new frenzied and frankly rather desperate attempt to ‘break the internet’ is happening because other younger members of her family have been grabbing all the attention recently…” he wrote.

Empowering women & being a role model

Hitting out at those who have accused her of being a negative influence to young women, Kim argued that she does not have many of the vices that would warrant the “poor role model” title.

“I don’t do drugs, I hardly drink, I’ve never committed a crime—and yet I’m a bad role model for being proud of my body?”

Pushing her argument further, Kim said that she hopes to empower young women through her platform.

“And I hope that through this platform I have been given, I can encourage the same empowerment for girls and women all over the world.”
