Eight couples interested in Ksh5.4 million Valentines Day package

Eight couples interested in Ksh5.4 million Valentines Day package

At least eight couples are interested in this year’s Villa Rosa Kempinski Valentine weekend package – despite the fact that the offer costs a whopping Ksh5.4 million.

Speaking exclusively to Citizen Digital the Public Relations and Marketing Manager of the facility, Mr Mwingirwa Kithure, said out of the eight interested couples, seven are Kenyans and one is Italian.

“So far we have eight inquiries. No one has paid yet; they say we should expect payment on Monday, February 8. One had promised to pay on Friday, January 5, but he did not manage – he is from Italy and the others are Kenyans. The offer is based on first come, first served criteria. Until money is deposited we cannot say it is sold,” he said.

So why is the plush hotel charging a fortune for a weekend?

“The package is expensive because it is only for two people. It is a 50-hour experience that starts on Saturday, February 13 and ends on Monday February 15,” Mr Kithure explained.

With all eight promising to pay by Monday, what will the hotel do if payments are made at the same time?

“We would refer back to the bank transactions – because that is the payment mode – Ksh5.4 million is an amount too large to be paid in cash. The statements would give us the exact time and date they paid; so whichever bank transfer goes first,” stated the PR manager.

What Ksh5.4 million gets you

According to a press release by the hotel, on Saturday, February 13, the couple will be picked in a convoy of limousines, accompanied by a butler, a lady-in-red and security for close protection.

The red carpet walk way, free flow of champagne and a two nights stay at the presidential suite sets the pace for the couple.

They will then be flown to Masai Mara for a sky safari the following day.

The couple is expected to arrive at Olare Mara Kempinski – Masai Mara at 1300hrs.

Two Thai masseuses will be flown in from Villa Rosa Kempinski to take them through a romantic spa session just by the plunge pool overlooking the vast savannah dotted with wildlife.

The couple will be given some time to relax and have a bubble bath before a game drive enroute to an exclusive sundowner cocktail set up for the couple in the middle of the park.

After this remarkable experience the couple takes their chopper back to the city to culminate the intimate experience, plus intimate sundowner cocktail.

The guests will enjoy this dining experience on Valentines night at the hotel’s rooftop, overlooking Nairobi city’s skyline with the executive chef, two waitresses and their butler at their beck and call.

The hotel has handpicked exclusive custom-made set of diamond jewelry for the lady and white diamond cuff links for the gentleman sourced
