A father has admitted to strangling his daughter after she was caught shoplifting condoms to use with a man she had been forbidden from dating, reports The New York Post.

Asadullah Khan, 51, used his hands to strangle his daughter Lareeb, 19, because she had brought “dishonor” to the family, the court in Germany heard.

Khan’s wife, Shazia, 41, is also on trial for their daughter’s murder as it is alleged she did not attempt to stop her husband from killing Lareeb.

The court further heard the couple originally from Pakistan, then dressed their daughter’s body in her dental assistant work attire and used a wheelchair to transport her to their car.

They used the car to transport her body from their high-rise apartment in the city of Darmstadt to a forest, where they disposed of it by rolling her down a hill.

Asadullah Khan who claimed he had stopped his daughter from dating a man said the family’s honor had been jeopardized by her ‘shameful’ act of attempting to steal condoms from a store.

Shazia Khan told the court that she did not stop her husband from strangling their daughter as she feared him.

However, the couple’s youngest daughter, 14-year-old Nida, said in court that Mrs. Khan “was not suppressed” by her husband and “could do what she wanted.”

She also said she wants nothing more to do with her parents.

Lareeb’s boyfriend Raheel said they had planned to get married but her parents threatened him quite often.

He added that Lareeb had told him that her mother had repeatedly abused her with a stick and pressed her hand on a hot stove; asking her to stop seeing him.

It is not the first time Asadullah Khan strangled his daughter as it is reported he had in previous occasion executed the same over the love he termed “very disgraceful”.
