From the decks to the ballot – DJ Kaytrixx announces political ambitions
After gracing Kenya’s stages, clubs and television screens, renowned Kenyan DJ Kaytrix has now set his eyes on a political seat.
The Moi University educated disk jockey has announced on his official social media pages that he is gearing up for the 2017 General Election.
Sharing his ambitions for the Mikindani seat, the spin-master urged eligible citizens to register as voters because this would give them the opportunity to elect good leaders.
“Let us not reach a point and regret that we had an opportunity to choose good leaders who will bring change because we are not registered voters,” he said.
The DJ finished his post by saying, “Mikindani 2017. #PamojaTujengane. Ni wakati wetu sasa.”
Kaytrixx is not the first entertainer to declare interest in politics. Former Redykyulass actor KJ, whose real name is John Kiarie, has announced that he will run for office in the next polls.
