I met my husband in a night club – Talia Oyando
Renowned Homeboys presenter Talia Oyando now says she met her husband at a club five years ago.
Many Kenyans believe that it is not possible to get a husband or wife, at a club but that is not the case for Talia.
In the past one month, the talented presenter took to her instagram to post 30 love stories; one everyday for couples who have flourished in their marriages with an aim of getting her fans to believe in love.
She posted 29 stories and then detailed her relationship as the 30th couple, showering her husband with praises.
Some of the couples out of the 30 she posted include Nameless and his wife Wahu and the famous love doctor Steve Harvey and his wife Majorie Harvey.
This is what she wrote as her instagram caption:
“I first saw @directorezy at a club I was dragged to. He walked by and my heart kinda followed him. We didn’t speak I only stayed the whole night staring at him. Later when I was leaving I bumped into him in the parking lot he asked if I was ok and needed a ride I said I was ok & that was all. Man when I got home he is all I thought of,” she revealed.
“About a week later I decided to go to that same club hoping to bump into him and yes he was there sitting alone watching a Mayweather fight. He came to our table said hi to me then proceeded to have this long convo with maqbul they knew each other perfect. We did the whole staring at each other again and left separately,” she added.
“A week later, I was launching Rub a Dub tues he showed up but i was too nervous to talk to him even when he came to my table. At the end of the night (morning) when i was leaving the club again he asked” are u ok to drive, can i drop u home?” I said i was ok we exchanged numbers and he texted to check if i was home safe. We continued chatting all week and i invited him & friends for dinner.”
She continued; “That was our first date and that is the day we moved in together. He stayed at my place 2 months then I stayed at his 2 months & then we got our own place. He later told me how he’d been coming to the club long before i saw him just to look at me. 5 and a half years later he still makes me mad and makes me happy. We are not perfect we don’t have good days everyday this isn’t a movie we are human. We argue sometimes. But you know the song ‘I’d rather have bad times with u than good times with someone else’.”
Talia is famously known as ‘night nurse’ from her Homeboyz show. She made her presence felt from the time she hosted a reggae show with Kriss Darlin on Easy FM.
The radio host and her husband had a quiet wedding in 2010 which she disclosed was traditional. She also added that they are planning to have a church wedding soon. The two have a son together, who she believes is the one thing she has done right.
