Join me at the strip club, and I’ll go with you to church, rapper tells Kirk Franklin

Join me at the strip club, and I’ll go with you to church, rapper ...

Would you invite a well-known Christian minister to a club? Well one ballsy Florida rapper has done so.

Shawty singer, Piles, has publicly invited celebrated gospel artiste Kirk Franklin, to a strip club.

In a video posted on his Instagram account, the 39-year-old challenged Franklin to go to a famous Florida strip club, King of Diamonds, with him.

In a bid to convince the married father of four to join him, Plies told Franklin that all he has to do is set foot in the club-adding that he doesn’t even have to engage the services of the strippers.

Should the Stomp hit-maker accept to proverbially dine with thieves and robbers”, Plies promised to accompany him to church.

“Y’all tell Kirk Franklin I say I wanna take him to King Of Diamonds with me. He can go in, he ain’t even gotta get no dancers, he can go in there and turn right around … and go take him a little holy bath and he gonna be back holy,” Plies said in a video posted to his Instagram page. “Kirk, listen, you go to King Of Diamonds with me and I come to church with you, an even swap.”

The post generated a lot of interest, especially since 45-year-old Kirk Franklin has been outspoken about his struggles with lust and pornography.

Gathering over 44, 000 views and over 10, 000 comments, the brazen invite made its way to blogs and online gossip boards.

Not one to back away from a challenge, Franklin posted rebuttal video complete with word play from his most recent album, Losing my Religion.

He captioned the clip: “Y’all tell @plies that the album is called “Losing My Religion” not “Lost My Religion” #SeeYouInChurch!”

In his video response, which Plies re-uploaded on his own page, Franklin turns the table on the rapper, extending an invite to a three-hour-long church service.

Does this mean that the ‘savedie’ singer fulfill the other end of the bargain by visiting a strip club? Apparently not.

The best he could do is walk by the parking lot.

“Next time I come to Miami, you gotta come to a Baptist church with me, and sit through a three-hour church service with tambourines and a church cookout. And then, I may walk by the club. I may walk on the parking lot and just walk on the curb,” Franklin said in his 15-second-response.

What do you think about the invite?
