Flashy Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has revealed that he practices polygamy.

Sonko recently responded to a fan identified as Victor Kaunyangi on social media after Victor asked him about his relationship.

The senator had uploaded a 4’53” video that shows a Nairobi man who was caught pants down with another man’s wife begging forgiveness from the adulterous woman’s husband.

Sonko captioned the recording: “Do you think we should take our mpango wa kando to our matrimonial homes?”

Seemingly the word ‘our’ in the statement was ambiguous hence prompting Victor to seek for clarification from the Senator.

“Let’s begin here, where do you usually take yours?” asked Mr Kaunyangi.

Sonko cleared the air saying he does not have a side dish – but has two wives.

“I only have 2 and each has her own house and I respect them a lot especially mama watoto,” said Sonko.

His response attracted approval from hundreds of social media users who liked and even commented on Victor’s statement.

“Real man, real answer,” wrote one Nancy Anne.

Sonko further asked Victor how many mpango wa kando he has. He replied: “Your honesty makes you a good leader. Wengi wetu hapa hawawezi kubali hata wako na mama watoto (Most of us [men] don’t admit that we have wives.)”

The senator, who will be turning 41 on February 27, has in the past revealed his wife Primrose Mbuvi as the biological mother of his third daughter, Sandra.

Sonko has also fathered two other daughters with different women.

His first born daughter, Saumu Mbuvi, who is a student at JKUAT Karen campus, was born during the senator’s first marriage to his late wife Njeri Wangui. Sonko said he sired Saumu while he was a secondary school student.
