News anchor Michelle Morgan engaged, says she made first move

Celebrated news anchor Michelle Morgan has revealed she is engaged to the man of her life Peng Chen and confessed she made the first move on him.

Speaking to Standard Media’s Pulse, Michelle divulged she’s off the market; and also narrated in great depth how she met her flame.

“I am engaged to the most amazing guy on earth. He is my better half,” she said, adding: “We met three years ago (2012) at the Coast during Easter holidays.”

The 26-year-old TV beauty intimated she couldn’t resist what she instantly felt for Mr. Chen; consequently swimming in the waters and crossing the swimming pool – literally – just to reach where he was.

She told: “I remember seeing this hot exotic guy by the pool and I did the craziest thing. I had my bikini on so I took off my clothes, swam over to him and introduced myself; then we decided to exchange numbers, but none of us had a phone.”

With nowhere to record his contacts, what did Ms. Morgan do?

“My friend and I had to memorise three digits of his number, each. We met up (with Mr. Chen) after and the friendship developed into a relationship,” recounted the TV siren.

Michelle is a happy fiancée – she has all the reasons to be; part of the contributing factor is how Mr. Chen asked her if she’d marry him.

“It all happened early this year. He invited me to accompany him to Zanzibar. I had no idea what he was going to do. Once I got to the airport, I realised I had the wrong passport.

“So, I had to rush back home on a boda boda an hour before our flight. The proposal was at the beach,” said Michelle.

The former Citizen Television anchor has played down her wedding speculations, saying she and her fiancé are first putting a strong foundation before settling down together.

Mr. Chen is a businessman who was born in China, but later relocated to America to join his parents.
