P-Square in Ksh4 million mess after police storm their mansion

After a frantic week, Nigerian pop group P-Square has now reportedly found itself in an 8 million Naira (Ksh4 million) mess, reports NET.

According to the outlet, police officers stormed the duo’s Omole mansion (Squareville) consequently leading to a scuffle.

The drama was as a result of P-Square allegedly failing to perform at a concert in Benin after they were paid the sum of 8 million Naira (Ksh4 million).

“We are here to carry out a court injunction” a leader of the officers from Lagos’ Ikeja High Court was quoted as saying.

“P-Square were paid over 8 million Naira for a show and they didn’t show up for the show. Our job here is to enforce the court injunction and retrieve the cash. Right now they say they are trying to transfer the money and that’s why we are waiting,” added the officer.

NET reports the officers of the Ikeja High Court in Lagos did not show the outlet a copy of the injunction; neither did they reveal the client’s name.

During the whole drama it was reported that Peter Okoye stormed out of the mansion angrily in his car.

This week has been rather chaotic for P-Square. On February 16, 2016 Peter Okoye took to Twitter to demand that his brother Jude Okoye step down as the manager of the group. He however withdrew his statement.
