Ms Knaust was driving from Bomas of Kenya at around 11pm when an alleged drunk driver rammed into her car; leaving her badly injured and the car written off.

It is said Ruth had on the fateful night attended Eric Omondi’s Untamed concert at the Bomas of Kenya before leaving for her home a few minutes to 11pm.

Family, friends and well-wishers are meeting daily at Kivi Milimani Hotel from 5 pm for funeral arrangements.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 4 from 10am at The Montezuma Monalisa Chapel of Rest along Mbagathi Way, Nairobi.

Late Ruth’s cortege will leave Montezuma funeral home at 7am on Saturday, November 5 for their rural home in Ngariama, Kirinyaga County where she will be laid to rest.

Karen Karimi thanked everyone who sent messages of condolence to her family.

“Thank you all for your condolences… it is hard, but I’m trying, trying to be strong especially for the beautiful kids she left behind.”

Ruth is survived by two children – Decca and Iman Shariff.
